Krabi

Krabi, a province on southern Thailand’s Andaman coast, is known for its craggy, sheer limestone cliffs and islands, many of which are topped with rainforest. The area around Krabi Town features popular beaches like Ao Nang and Railay Bay. To the south is the Tiger Cave Temple, a Buddhist shrine on a hilltop with sweeping views of the lagoons and islands. One of Krabi’s most famous attractions is Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, an area filled with lush tropical forests home to wild monkeys and other wildlife. The park is also home to lovely waterfalls that cascade into natural pools perfect for swimming and relaxing.

Things to do

Krabi offers some incredible activities such as wildlife tours, elephant treks, kayaking through mangroves and tunnels in a serene lagoon, rock climbing at Railay or Tonsai Beach (famous among experienced climbers), snorkeling through some of Thailand’s most beautiful coral reefs at Phi Phi Islands or Hin Daeng & Hin Muang Marine National Parks (for experienced divers).

Stunning Scenery

Krabi’s stunning scenery also makes it ideal for spiritual healing retreats. Numerous yoga classes are held outdoors in spots by the beach or amidst nature. You can practice meditation while admiring views of limestone cliffs and up-close encounters with animals in their natural habitat. Relaxation seekers will be delighted to find many spas offering aromatherapy massages where calming scents from herbs such as lemongrass can be enjoyed while getting kneaded back into shape.

Must-see Attraction

Krabi may be best known for its majestic mountainscapes and mesmerizing beaches, but there’s much more to explore here. One must-see attraction would be Thung Teao Forest Natural Park, which holds mysterious caves full of prehistoric paintings made by ancient people and various species of plants & animals unique to this region.
